It's likely that Assassin's Creed: Codename Red, which takes place in feudal Japan, will actually release in 2024. This became known thanks to a Ubisoft employee.
Users noticed a post by Ozan Kocoglu, the studio's general manager for Japan and Korea, which he published on LinkedIn. Celebrating Ubisoft Japan's 30th anniversary, he wrote the following:
This can be considered indirect evidence that the new Assassin's Creed game will indeed be released in 2024. Previously, confirmation of this was found in the account of a Ubisoft top manager on LinkedIn.
Let us remind you that the events of the game will take place in medieval Japan, and closer to the end we may be shown the distant future. According to insider Tom Henderson, the main characters will be a samurai girl and shinobi Yasuke of African descent.
Tom Henderson previously announced details of another upcoming game in the Assassin's Creed franchise.
