Bethesda Game Studios employees announced the formation of the One BGS USA union, which includes almost 250 members. Microsoft has already recognized the new organization, and now employees intend to reconsider the terms of the contract with the company.
It is noteworthy that the Bethesda union accepted employees of various specialties into its ranks, from developers to artists. Previously, a similar organization was formed by testers from Activision and ZeniMax Studios. Now, within the walls of Microsoft, the first association has appeared that will protect the rights of workers of different specializations.
The Bethesda union now consists of 241 employees, and another 117 people from the Canadian division intend to enter into an agreement with the local branch of the Communications Workers of America. Currently, One BGS USA members intend to renegotiate the terms of the contract with Microsoft.
Let us recall that Microsoft previously closed four ZeniMax Media studios, including Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.
