Star Wars Outlaws advertising campaign becomes the most expensive in Ubisoft history
It looks like Ubisoft has high hopes for Star Wars Outlaws. The other day, the head of the company admitted that the company spent more money on promoting the game than on any other project.
Yves Guillemot spoke about this at a recent meeting with investors:
He kept silent about the amounts spent, but it is known that the company sets multi-million dollar budgets for advertising its projects. For example, for the PR of Watch Dogs in 2014, the developers released large-scale trailers, including those with live actors, showed advertising and CGI videos, and also rented billboards. According to Insider Gaming, the PR campaign for Star Wars Outlaws looks much more modest.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Let us remind you that Ubisoft recently showed some more gameplay of its crime action game based on the Star Wars universe. Players criticized what they saw for poor graphics and optimization.
