Gearbox CEO reveals when Borderlands 4 will be announced

Gearbox CEO and co-founder Randy Pitchford has said that he is «not going to keep people waiting» for the announcement of Borderlands 4. According to him, the game will be shown this year.

In an interview with GamesRadar, the developer made it clear when the fourth part will be announced:

I haven't been perfect at hiding the fact that we're working on many things, and that we're working on big things. I'm confident that our fans are going to be very, very happy with the next video game project when we are ready to announce it. And I will tell you that we're not going to be making people wait for a long time before we announce it [It will be announced] before the end of the year. Maybe sooner.

Randy Pitchford added that the fourth Borderlands is being developed by «the biggest and best team» and the game itself will give fans what they want. According to the developer, he himself cannot wait to talk about it. He also hinted that more projects like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which was inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons board game, may appear in the future.

In the meantime, fans can brighten up the wait with the first Borderlands movie, which is coming out on August 9. The final trailer for the film adaptation can be seen here. By the way, the actress who plays Lilith, Cate Blanchett, recently told how she worked on her image.
