This August, the premiere of the movie «Borderlands,» based on the eponymous game series developed by Gearbox Software, will take place. The main role (Lilith) is played by Cate Blanchett, who, as it turned out recently, decided to prepare by buying a PS5 and playing Borderlands herself.

During an interview with Empire, Cate Blanchett also emphasized that she enjoyed the filming process. She particularly liked the shootouts.

Borderlands movie will also feature characters such as Roland, Dr. Patricia Tannis, Claptrap, Tiny Tina, Krieg, Atlas, Krom, Commandant Steele, Mad Moxxi, and Jacobs. Their roles are played by Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Édgar Ramírez, Olivier Richters, Janina Gavankar, Gina Gershon, and Cheyenne Jackson, respectively.

The film is directed by Eli Roth, who previously participated as an actor in several Quentin Tarantino films, including Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. Additionally, he directed the horror-thriller Hostel.
