The classic version of Resident Evil 2 (1998) has been released on GOG

The classic version of Resident Evil 2, which has received a number of improvements compared to the original 1998 release, is now available on GOG. Previously, the first Resident Evil game was also released on this platform.
Features of the GOG version of Resident Evil 2:
- Full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11;
- Improved DirectX rendering;
- Enhanced sound;
- Improved cutscenes;
- New image gallery;
- Secret game scenario available from the start;
- 4th Survivor and Tofu modes included from the start;
- Full support for modern controllers (DualSense, DualShock 4, Microsoft Xbox Series, Microsoft Xbox One, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Logitech F series, and more);
- Fixed bugs in rooms 114 and 115;
- Includes full versions of both the original American and original Japanese versions of Resident Evil 2.
The classic version of Resident Evil 2 has been translated into English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.
