An insider with the nickname billsyliamgta and an employee of the GTA Base portal said that Rockstar Games plans to postpone the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 to 2026. The PC version of the game will have to wait at least a year.
In his statement, the insider refers to internal sources from two Rockstar studios. According to them, the management has allegedly already decided on a new release window — this could be the beginning or middle of 2026. The game will appear on PC only 12-18 months after its release on consoles.
So far, there is no confirmation of this information, so we recommend treating the news as a rumor. The official release of GTA 6 is scheduled for autumn 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Earlier, an approximate release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 appeared on IMDb, but it was quickly removed.
