The developers of Project Borealis, the so-called «fan Half-Life 3», have finally released a teaser with the release date. The prologue will be available to play this fall on PC.
In a short video, the team showed the snowy Ravenholm from Half-Life 2, to which the player will have to return again. This location is considered one of the most frightening segments of the original game. However, for some reason, the city is inhabited by a completely new type of headcrabs that are adapted to life in the north.
For now, the developers of Project Borealis intend to release only the prologue, which will be released on PC this fall. The project will probably be released in parts, as was once the case with Black Mesa.
Project Borealis is a fan game on the Unreal Engine 4, based on leaked drafts of former Valve screenwriter Marc Laidlaw. According to the plot, Gordon and Alyx Vance will have to go to the Arctic to search for the ship Borey with teleportation technology on board.
Recall that new rumors about Half-Life 3 have recently appeared. And before that, the authoritative data miner Gabe Follower told what new technologies Valve plans to use in the third installment. Also, another fan team presented a teaser for the new chapter of the Half-Life: Blue Shift remake.
