Ghost of Yotei developers revealed what flaws of the original will be corrected in the sequel
At the recent State of Play, Ghost of Yotei, a sequel to the samurai action game Ghost of Tsushima, was announced. The developers from Sucker Punch revealed what aspects of the first part they intend to improve and change in the sequel.
In Ghost of Yotei, players will have more control over the protagonist. If the story of Jin Sakai did not include any serious plot forks (except for the finale), then the story of the assassin Atsu will be more variable and probably with far-reaching consequences.
The developers also mentioned another feature of Ghost of Tsushima, which received its share of criticism at the time. We are talking about repetitive content in the open world — for example, fox guides and birds that every now and then showed the way to points of interest or tasks.
As a reminder, the game's protagonist will be a girl named Atsu, and the story will unfold in a new region of Japan 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. In addition to the usual katana, the protagonist will receive a firearm.
Ghost of Yotei will be released in 2025 on PS5.
Earlier, the former head of PlayStation criticized players who were unhappy with the choice of the main character.
