Following Longdue and Dark Math Games, another team whose employees once worked at ZA/UM has announced itself. The third «heir to Disco Elysium» will be Summer Eternal.

The developers launched a website where they published their manifesto dedicated to their mission and the situation in the gaming industry. At the same time, they promised to unite world-class artists and creatives into an independent studio to create a complex «RPG mega-project»:

We realize that we are writing the first words of our story during apocalyptic material conditions for game creators around the world... Our mission is to unite world-class artists and creatives into a truly independent gaming studio that will always put artistic integrity above personal comfort, profit and short-term interests. This is how we can embark on this treacherous path of creating a cultural mega-project — an RPG with complexity and ambitions worthy of rivaling our pathetic and beautiful world.

ZA/UM veterans who joined the studio:

  • Argo Tuulik, writer of Disco Elysium and the cancelled franchise projects;
  • Olga Moskvina, another writer of Disco Elysium;
  • Lenval Broun — the voice of the game's narrator;
  • Dora Klindzic, writer of the cancelled Disco Elysium spin-off;
  • Anastasia Ivanova — concept artist;
  • Michael Oswell — graphic designer.

The newly-formed studio has not yet shared any details about its future project.

Recall that yesterday two teams of former ZA/UM employees announced the development of projects inspired by Disco Elysium. There are already the first concept art, screenshots and even a gameplay recording.
