Today, the official release of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 shooter took place on PC and consoles. The first reviews of the project have already appeared on Steam — it left a positive impression, although not without flaws.
Gamers praised the main story campaign of the shooter with variability of passage, various secrets and base pumping, good multiplayer, animation and shooting. Many noted the appearance of new mechanics from other games in the series and even completely third-party projects, which diversified the gameplay. Separately, players appreciated the «Zombies» mode — the latter turned out to be better than in Modern Warfare 3.
There was also room for shortcomings. Judging by the reviews, even in a single-player campaign, a stable Internet connection is required, which is why players often encounter crashes. Also, fans did not like the new interface and a rather average level of optimization. However, at the time of writing, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has 73% positive ratings on Steam.
Gaming publications have also begun to publish their reviews of the new part of the series. The IGN portal praised the missions in Black Ops 6 and awarded it 90 points out of 100 on Metacritic, and XboxEra separately noted the strong campaign and gave it a slightly lower rating — 85 points.
Recall that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is already available on PC, PS4 and PS5, as well as the last two generations of Xbox and in Game Pass. The plot of the new game continues CoD: Black Ops Cold War and tells about the events of the Persian Gulf War.
