Leaked images of Warcraft 2 Remaster found online, yet to be officially announced by Blizzard
It appears that Blizzard Entertainment is working on a remaster of another one of its iconic games. This time, it's Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, originally released in 1995. Dataminer Stiven_SRB has discovered the first images in the files of a recent World of Warcraft update.
The images clearly show the logo for Warcraft 2 Remastered and a background featuring a ship.
Blizzard Entertainment has yet to officially comment on the information, but it's quite possible that an announcement could be made soon.
It's worth noting that on November 13, the company will hold a special event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft. The announcement of the Warcraft 2 remaster could very well take place during this event.
As a reminder, Blizzard previously released Warcraft 3: Reforged, which they described as a «complete reimagining» of the original game. However, the project received very low ratings from gamers on Metacritic.
