Fresh update 1.008 for Mortal Kombat 1 introduces new DLC fighter and numerous fixes

The November update 1.008 for Mortal Kombat 1 has been released, bringing a host of fixes and a new fighter to the game — Ghostface. Currently, he is available to owners of the Khaos Reigns expansion, but he will be available for individual purchase starting November 26.

Patch 1.008 Highlights for PC:

  • Improved game stability;
  • Added a second confirmation prompt during PSO shader cache generation at startup;
  • Introduced RGB effects settings, now disabled by default;
  • Added support for additional RGB and Haptic effects;
  • AMD FSR3 NAA technology as an anti-aliasing option;
  • Fixed font issues;
  • Fixed issues in training modes that prevented lesson completion;
  • Fixed voice chat issues in online matches;
  • Enhanced performance;
  • Fixed replay viewing issues and other stability problems.

Patch 1.008 Highlights for Nintendo Switch:

  • Fixed Noob Saibot display issue;
  • Fixed various visual, audio, and other issues caused by character skins and palettes.

Additionally, the update introduced new skins for Ermac, Rain, Kitana, Tanya, Frost, and Sareena, and fixed issues with some brutalities and fatalities.
