Following the release of the PS5 Pro, some developers have been rolling out patches that bring specific improvements to their games on this console. Recently, CD Projekt RED addressed the question of whether they plan to do the same for Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the developers, there are currently no plans to release a patch for the game with PS5 Pro support.
For context, the GPU performance of the PS5 Pro is 16.7 TFLOPS, compared to the regular PS5's 10.3 TFLOPS. The console allows for more stable frame rates, higher resolution, and enhanced effects. For example, a recent patch for The Callisto Protocol on PS5 Pro added 8K/30 FPS and 4K/60 FPS modes with ray tracing enabled.
As for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED announced in October that a Mac version of the game is scheduled for release in early 2025.
