Clockwork mechanisms in Honkai: Star Rail are special mini-quests, quite common throughout Penaconia. Thanks to the symbol of the dream planet — Chasik — the Trailblazer can influence the emotions of local residents and change them at will to achieve the desired result or help people understand themselves. Some characters, after changing their emotions, can give various rewards, including star jade. In this guide, we will tell you about all the characters in Origami Academy affected by the clockwork mechanism and show the location of each hero.
There are a total of 10 heroes on the map whose emotions can be changed to receive gifts, including not only star jade but also other useful resources. Two more can be affected by the clockwork mechanism, but they are part of the quest with Mr. Arturo.
Use the lowest teleport in Origami Academy and go along the Colorful Dreams Highway to the first fork, then turn right. Near the stands, you will see Prema — a pepeshi who is considered a famous racer. Start the clockwork mechanism and chat with the character, then view each of her emotions in any order. Don't forget to return anger to the girl at the end. As a reward for all the manipulations, you will receive the Cup of Fire achievement.
Walk a little further down the corridor, then turn right at the fork, and then turn right again. Go to the end of the corridor. Near the lecture hall, you will see a girl with chestnut hair named Haru, who is carefully studying the board.
Talk a little with the NPC and find out that she is annoyed by a guy named Sean. To reduce stress, use the clockwork mechanism. Any emotion will help Haru calm down, but if you make the girl sad, you will receive three Banana Stress Relief dishes, which will restore energy to the characters.
Walk along the same corridor but in the opposite direction towards the spatial anchor at the Corridor of Culture. Directly opposite the teleport, there will be an NPC named Harrison with the proud title of honorary second-year student.
Chat with the old man, though not without difficulties, and then start the clockwork mechanism. As with Prema, to get the '39 achievement for five units of star jade, you need to switch to each of Harrison's available emotions: sadness, calm, anger, and including the very first one — delight.
Walk through the Corridor of Culture and stop by the stand with toy monkeys. Behind it will be a comic galovian with the strange name Nobody. This NPC also has the function of changing emotions, which you can use without any qualms.
Talk to the galovian and start the clockwork mechanism. Make the hero sad by pressing the corresponding emotion. Listen to his lines and receive quite a useful food for defense — Acceptance of Banana Mistake in the amount of two dishes.
Literally next to the comic galovian Nobody, there will be a young man named Grosh. He has met the Trailblazer more than once in the storyline of update 2.6 and became known for handing out toys of the popular on Penaconia bayunana monkey.
Talk to the acquaintance and start the clockwork mechanism, which will allow you to change the emotion of the cunning seller. To receive a small reward in the form of two Igniting Atmosphere dishes, make Grosh feel delighted and listen to his lines.
Return to the main corridor and run to its end without turning. Near the lockers, you will meet a girl named Ligeya — a fan of the supernatural. Talk to the NPC and use the clockwork mechanism.
If you switch to the emotion of delight, you will receive two Glimpse of a Bright Future dishes, which buff the heroes' defense.
If you view the emotion of sadness, you can take a disc with the pilot episode of the series Welcome to Itansville as a reward;
If you choose the emotion of calm, the gift will be one Automatic Dream Spray Can, which enhances defense. And after viewing all the emotions, you can earn an achievement for five units of star jade — Sinister Stories.
Run a bit back down the corridor and head to the central location with the origami bird statue. Before reaching it, turn slightly to the left — near the table with banners and monitors stands a character with glasses and black hair. This is the sought-after Alphonse.
Talk to the young man and use the clockwork mechanism. To receive a gift in the form of three Banana Stress Relief dishes for energy recovery, activate the emotion of anger in the character.
Another character familiar from the 2.6 storyline can be found at the Creative Fair. Use the spatial anchor with the same name and go through the small corridor. At the first stand on the left will be a shy pepeshi named Chaletta. Talk to her and use the clockwork mechanism.
Switching to the emotions of sadness and anger will get you four Banana Stress Relief dishes for energy recovery;
Switching to the emotion of delight, the gift will be three Ninja Chaos Nutritional Pills.
From Chaletta, walk a bit forward through the Creative Fair and you will see Gabbana — the head of the theater club, who often appeared in the Mastery mission of patch 2.6.
Talk to the girl and start the clockwork mechanism. Change the NPC's emotion to sadness, after which you will be able to receive several copies of energy recovery dishes — Banana Etiquette.
Teleport to the Glaux statue and enter the rector's office by climbing the steps up. Talk to Mr. Arturo and start the mechanism. However, it will be broken. Repair it and start a small quest: send a message to NPCs named Harrison, Chad, and Sean.
You have already changed Harrison's emotions, so just return to him and deliver the rector's message, then listen to his lines and go in search of the other characters.
Chad can be found not far from Harrison, in the Corridor of Culture: just deliver Arturo's words to him and continue following the quest.
Sean will be standing opposite the spatial anchor near the Glaux statue. Talk to him as well, then return to the rector.
Halfway back, you will be stopped by Professor Filin, who will write a letter to Arturo. Return to the rector's office and deliver it to the addressee. After this, you will receive an achievement and 10 units of star jade.
