Sniper Elite: Resistance is a new installment in the shooter series that takes you into the exciting world of a professional sniper. Like any other profession, there are rules and requirements that must be followed to successfully complete missions. We will share useful tips to help beginners most effectively complete the campaign and tackle other tasks.

Disable Online Features

Similar to the mechanics of Dark Souls, in Sniper Elite: Resistance, users can invade your story campaigns with the aim of killing you. Immediately disable this option so that nothing interferes with the successful completion of the mission.

Stay at the Spawn Point

At the beginning of each mission, you appear in a relatively safe zone, which provides an overview of the location you need. You can use binoculars to mark enemies and their approximate path to study the various shelters and other objects in the area in more detail. Immediately choose the most advantageous position for neutralizing the first enemies.

Visit the Highest Point of the Location

In some situations, you may lack the information obtained at the starting point. In this case, move to the highest point of the location, where the view is better, to get a complete picture of the area.

Save Your Progress More Often

Each mission can be mentally divided into several stages of progress through the location. Save your progress whenever you achieve any progress in the mission. If you accidentally encounter an enemy and a hunt begins on you, you can simply roll back a little without starting all over again.

Stick to the Prepared Tactics

If you've ever played any part of Sniper Elite, you probably know that stealth is an important component of the shooter. Therefore, your main task is not to attract unnecessary attention from the guards.

Hide the Bodies of Neutralized Enemies

If you try to act silently, hide the bodies of killed or stunned enemies. Use special containers with dense grass or containers that can hold two people. In extreme cases, you can leave the enemy just on the floor, but then it's better to remove him from the passage and throw him in an inconspicuous nook.

Monitor the Sound Level

It's always better to neutralize an enemy with a backstab than to shoot them with a pistol or rifle. In this case, you will create less noise.

Hide in the Grass

Dense grass is an excellent cover. It allows you to remain unnoticed. You can only be discovered if someone is specifically looking for you. But for this, the enemy must approach your character within one step.

Neutralize Enemies from a Distance

If you prefer not to kill enemies but to stun them, pay attention to non-lethal bullets for your pistol. They incapacitate enemies but leave them alive. The principle of action is comparable to a backstab.

Pay Attention to Ivy and Nets on the Walls

Many buildings have nets or plants covering the walls. Use them to climb up and get to the second floor through a window. This way, you can bypass the guards at the main entrance.

Watch Out for Snipers

The greatest threat to you is enemy snipers. We recommend eliminating them first, as they can spot you even from a great distance. You can also detect them in advance by the characteristic glare from their scopes.

Avoid Roads Used by Vehicles

Trucks and SUVs also pose a significant danger. They move quickly but carefully watch the road and will see you if you are on the roadside. If possible, stay away from highways. If necessary, hide behind cover such as stone fences.

Character Development Should Match Your Tactics

Those who act silently do not need to spend upgrade points on increasing the health bar. It's better to get additional pouches for items and increase focus time during aiming.

Use Explosives

Explosions will definitely attract enemy soldiers. However, if you leave the area where the detonation occurred in time, you won't be detected. You can mine the bodies of soldiers, as well as various interactive objects, such as vehicles or generators. A corpse with explosives will surely attract the interest of opponents. They will be distracted and leave the patrol area. You can use this to infiltrate a guarded facility.

Shoot Enemies Trying to Raise the Alarm

If an alarm is raised, all soldiers in the area will move to your position. To prevent this, it's important to neutralize the soldier who is about to press the alarm button. Use a silenced pistol.

Monitor Enemy Activity

The map shows the concern of enemies about your actions. The following three colors are used for this:

  • White. Everything is fine, there is a pursuit-free area around you, keep your positions secret;
  • Yellow. Opponents heard or noticed your silhouette, so they started searching for the hero and listening to every rustle in the designated area;
  • Red. Enemy soldiers have found the protagonist and are now hunting for his head. Their movements and locations are shown on the map.

Do Not Fight During a Mass Hunt

Try to tactically retreat while a horde of soldiers is chasing you. If you engage in combat, other units will find you in time and will only intensify the attacks, requiring players to use all inventory items: weapons, grenades, and traps.

Your Shots Depend on Difficulty

A tip most relevant for higher difficulty levels. The developers of Sniper Elite strive to recreate combat and sniper work as accurately as possible, making bullet trajectory dependent on various conditions. The more hardcore the difficulty you choose, the more factors will affect the hero and his actions. Let's consider each of them.

Wind Speed

At the top of the screen, you have an indicator of air flow deviation. Aim slightly according to its value to the red mark for maximum efficiency.

Distance to Target

Adjust your sight according to the distance to the chosen enemy. You can check the exact values in the top right corner.

Height

Recoil strength is directly proportional to your stance: if the character shoots standing, it is quite high; if crouching, it decreases; if prone, it becomes minimal.

Hero's Pulse

Concentration is influenced by both physical and mental states. This is taken into account in Sniper Elite. When you move for a long time without stopping, cover any distance, or take damage, the protagonist's tension increases pulse values (can be tracked in the bottom right corner of the screen) and causes hand tremors.

Muffle Gunfire Sounds

It is quite important to eliminate all enemy soldiers before they become aware of your presence. However, a common problem is the loudness of the shot. In addition to using additional weapon modules, in Sniper Elite: Resistance, you can muffle this sound with nearby ambient noise, such as flowing water. You can also create sounds yourself by breaking an enemy's vehicle. You can find out if the environment is sufficiently muffled by checking the corresponding indicator at the top of the screen.

Buy Health-Related Upgrades

As you level up abilities, acquire increased recovery speed and a higher number of health points to become less dependent on enemy hits and return to the battlefield faster.

Engage in Additional Activities

In addition to the main missions, the game features side quests where you can practice your shooting, stealth, and goal achievement skills. Every action you take will earn points, and the remaining number of enemies will be indicated at the top. The activity is closely aligned with the main content, providing a practical way to prepare for the mission. You can also practice at the shooting range.
