Sony Pictures has announced the exact premiere date of the new film based on the popular fighting game series Street Fighter, which is being created by Legendary Pictures in collaboration with Capcom.
The Street Fighter adaptation will hit theaters on March 20, 2026. Interestingly, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has lost directors Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou due to scheduling conflicts. It is not yet known who will replace them. The distributor of the film is Sony.
Recall that the Street Fighter game series was first released in 1987. During this time, Capcom has released numerous games in this franchise. The latest is Street Fighter 6, which has received very positive reviews on Steam.
