Deadpool and Wolverine Script Found to Contain Crude Mickey Mouse Joke That Didn't Make It into Film

To make Deadpool and Wolverine a success, Disney went to great lengths to allow the film to be much more frivolous than other R-rated comic book movies. But some lines were so over-the-top that they had to be cut — in particular, Ryan Reynolds' character made a crude joke about the company's mascot.

The official script for Deadpool and Wolverine, which Marvel fans have already read, was published on Disney's website. It turned out that the text retained the very joke from the film that Ryan Reynolds refused to voice even during the press tour. And no wonder — his character made a sarcastic remark about Mickey Mouse after learning of Magneto's death:

As Deadline writes, during the press tour for Deadpool and Wolverine, the actor said that they cut one single joke from the script, which was extremely indecent. The audience begged the performer to voice it on stage, but Ryan Reynolds flatly refused. «No. No. No! And they were right [to remove it]!» he said.

Recall that in October, Deadpool and Wolverine premiered in online cinemas. It also recently became known why the Ghost Rider played by Nicolas Cage never appeared in the film, although he appeared in concept art.
