First Look at Horror Version of Mickey Mouse from New Horror Film Revealed

An image from the upcoming independent horror film Screamboat has surfaced online, offering a first look at the main character, Steamboat Willie (Mickey Mouse). The role is played by actor David Howard Thornton.

The film is based on the short animated film Steamboat Willie, released by Walt Disney Studios in 1928.

In this adaptation, Mickey unexpectedly transforms into a monstrous carnivorous creature, intent on killing the passengers and crew of a ferry in New York.

Directed by Steven LaMorte, the film is set to release in April this year. Filming took place in New York from May to June 2024.
