According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Sims is set to get a full-fledged film adaptation, with Kate Herron (known for directing the first season of the Loki series) as director and co-writer of the screenplay. Additionally, the film will be produced by LuckyChap, a company led by Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerly.
Details are still under wraps, but it is known that the production is in the early stages. Furthermore, Electronic Arts and Vertigo Entertainment will also be producing the adaptation.
As a reminder, The Sims 5 is currently in development and will be distributed under the F2P-model.
The Sims is a series of popular life simulation games where players can get married, go to work, furnish their homes, take care of pets, and engage in many other activities. The first installment was released in 1999.
