April 10, 2024, 08:24 PM
Journalist and insider Jeff Grubb reported that Electronic Arts has canceled the unannounced remake of Dead Space 2. According to him, the project was in the early stages of production.
Jeff stated that the reason for the game's cancellation was the low sales of the remake of the first part, which was released in early 2023. The number of copies sold of the updated version of the cult game is unknown.
The remake was being developed by Motive Studios. It has recently been revealed that some employees have shifted to a new Battlefield project. It is likely that they were working on the canceled project.
It is worth noting that Motive Studios is currently working on a game about Iron Man.
