Gaming device manufacturer Mobapad published a detailed note revealing more details about the Nintendo Switch 2. Here's what the company found out:
Screen — 8-inch with 1080p resolution support;
Switch 2 will support old Joy-Cons and Pro controllers. The new gamepads will still be equipped with HD Rumble motors;
The new Joy-Cons are larger and attach to the console via electromagnets;
SL and SR buttons have become metallic. An additional button appeared on the sides of the Joy-Cons;
Mobapad also mentioned another button that appeared on the right Joy-Con below the Home button;
The console is compatible with old cartridges for Switch. Meanwhile, Switch 2 also supports second-generation cartridges, which the regular Switch cannot run;
The dock station looks almost identical to the old version, but now allows for better performance and 4K resolution output;
The back of the Switch will retain an adjustable stand.
Sales of the new console are most likely to start in 2025.
