First footage of the anime series Terminator Zero — release set for August 29
Entertainment Weekly has published the first footage of the anime series Terminator Zero, set in Japan in 1997 on the eve of Judgment Day. The new story will not feature John and Sarah Connor, although fans will find many references to past films.
The publication shared four images that show the Terminators themselves and one of the main characters. The plot will follow a heroine who travels back in time to find scientist Malcolm Lee and save him from a cyborg from the future.
The show was produced by Production I.G, the studio behind «Ghost in the Shell.» The showrunner is Mattson Tomlin, the writer of the upcoming «Batman» with Robert Pattinson and the adaptation of Keanu Reeves' comic BRZRKR.
All episodes of the anime series will be released on August 29 on Netflix. Previously, Nacon Studio Milan released screenshots of the survival game Terminator: Survivors, where players will have to escape from a T-800.
