«I Didn't Fit Into Any of My Pants»: Superman actor talks about his transformation for the new movie
Actor David Corenswet, who plays Superman in James Gunn's next film, talked about preparing for the role of the Kryptonian on the podcast Manly Things (Sort Of). To look good in the superhero costume, the celebrity had to work hard in the gym.
According to Corenswet, he gained so much mass for the role that his weight reached 238 pounds. «I Didn't Fit Into Any of My Pants,» the actor joked.
Before filming, the actor decided to lose some weight and slimmed down to 228-230 pounds. He wasn't entirely comfortable in peak form because his body hadn't adapted to the additional weight.
Before this, the personal trainer of the Superman team, Paolo Mascitti, praised Corenswet and promised to share more details about the workouts.
The premiere of Superman is scheduled for July 11, 2025. Photos from the set can be viewed here and here.
