Dead Space Creator Suddenly Announced He's Ready to Make a New Installment
Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space, has stated that he is ready to create another game in the franchise. The developer shared this news just a few days after the 16th anniversary of the original game.
In recent years, Schofield has been working on the horror game The Callisto Protocol at his studio, Striking Distance. The spiritual successor to Dead Space disappointed the publisher, Krafton, leading Schofield to leave the team. According to the creator, his departure was related to health issues — he is now actively exercising and has lost 80 pounds.
Unfortunately, the future of the Dead Space series remains uncertain. The recent remake by EA Motive performed poorly in sales, which means the development of a new installment has not been approved.
