Apple has decided to cut down production of its Vision Pro headsets, according to The Verge, citing The Information. The report suggests that the company may halt production of the original model by November to focus on a second version.
A source from The Information revealed that Apple has produced between 500,000 and 600,000 headsets since manufacturing began. The remaining stock is expected to meet the low demand for the expensive device.
Earlier, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that sales of the Vision Pro fell short of expectations, calling it an «early-adopter product.» The device is priced at $3,500.
Additionally, Apple recently announced the seventh generation of the iPad mini, powered by the A17 Pro chip, with sales starting today.
