It has been announced when the film 28 Years Later. Part 2: The Bone Temple will be released
In June 2025, the premiere of the post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Years Later will take place. Recently, it was revealed that the sequel, subtitled The Bone Temple, will be released on January 16, 2026.
Thus, there will be only a six-month gap between the releases of the films. The filming of The Bone Temple began on August 19, 2024, in North Yorkshire. It was conducted concurrently with the first part of 28 Years Later.
The lead role is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Additionally, Cillian Murphy will also appear in the film.
The director of the first part is Danny Boyle, while the second one (The Bone Temple) is directed by Nia DaCosta, known for Captain Marvel 2 and Candyman.
It is worth noting that 28 Years Later will become the most expensive film shot on an iPhone, with a budget of $75 million.
