NVIDIA Highlights the Graphical Leap Between Half-Life 2 Remaster and the 2005 Original

NVIDIA brought another treat to CES 2025 by showcasing a visual comparison between the original Half-Life 2 and its upcoming remastered edition.
The side-by-side screenshots below feature two versions of Ravenholm, revealing significant upgrades in the remaster. The updated edition will include enhanced textures, full ray tracing, and support for DLSS 3.5.
Half-Life 2 RTX will be free for owners of the original game, though a specific release date has yet to be announced.
Last night, NVIDIA also unveiled its new line of RTX graphics cards and the DLSS 4 upscaling technology, which comes with an exclusive feature set.
