Sonic Galactic Fan Game Gets Second Demo Release
The developers of Sonic Galactic, a fan-made Sonic game, have released the second demo for the project. It is primarily intended for fans of 2D Sonic games from the Sega Mega Drive.
The developers describe Sonic Galactic as a fan interpretation of what a 2D Sonic game on a 32-bit console could look like. Among the game's features, the developers highlight hand-drawn backgrounds, smooth animations, and a variety of playable characters.
In the demo, players have access to five characters with unique animations: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Fang from Sonic Triple Trouble, and Tunnel, a brand-new character not found in any of the official games in the series. There are also three locations: Verdant Isle Zone, Coral Garden Zone, and Luminoucity Zone.
As a reminder, the multiplayer game Sonic Rumble is set to release on PC, Android, and iOS in 2025.
