Transformers: Reactivate Cooperative Shooter Development Halted
Splash Damage has announced the cancellation of the cooperative shooter Transformers: Reactivate, which was initially revealed in December 2022. The news appeared on the studio's official page on X (formerly Twitter).
The studio did not specify the reason for the game's cancellation, but noted the possibility of upcoming job cuts within the studio. Some of the developers from Transformers: Reactivate will be reassigned to other projects.
Very little is known about Transformers: Reactivate. According to the developers, the game was being developed on the Unreal Engine (version unspecified) for PC and consoles. The project was planned to feature both single-player and cooperative modes. In 2024, an alleged introductory video for the game leaked online.
As a reminder, the mobile game Transformers: Eternal War was announced last November.
