It seems that the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 console might happen soon. Insider Nate the Hate reported this, and the information was quickly picked up by several reputable outlets.
According to the insider, a trailer focusing on the hardware of the Nintendo Switch 2 might be released on January 16. A Direct presentation is expected to take place at the end of February or the beginning of March, during which the lineup of games for the new console and its software features will be revealed.

Nate the Hate also mentioned that the Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release in May or June 2025. Additionally, he noted that a new 3D Mario game might be released on the console by the end of this year. The lineup for Nintendo Switch 2 could include various ports, such as Assassin's Creed Mirage and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Nintendo has not officially commented on the information, so it should be taken as a rumor.
