New Patch Adds «Breathing Walls» to Silent Hill 2 Remake
Developers from Bloober Team turned out to be quite loyal to their audience. Today the studio released a new patch for the Silent Hill 2 remake with cut content that players asked to restore.
Even at the release, some gamers were able to get access to an early build of the game, dated April 16. It had some significant differences from the release version, but a big omission, according to players, was the lack of animated walls in the battle with Abstract Daddy. If in the spring build they «breathed», then after the release of the game the animation disappeared somewhere. You can see an example in the video below (timecode 14:12).
In response to fan requests, Bloober Team returned this creepy detail to its place. It can be found in the patch notes for the latest update.
Among other things, the Silent Hill 2 remake fixed another batch of bugs such as Maria's navigation, trophy counting, the Labyrinth exploit, and the final boss disappearing, as well as fixed graphics issues on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Earlier, one of the game's fans released a mod that turns Silent Hill 2 into a VR action game. And before that, a funny video was released that showed the battle between Pyramid Head and the killer John Wick, who got into the game.
