Amped 3 — In addition to the main story, there are several ski resorts with many challenges. Completing these tasks earns the player respect points and money. Additionally, certain challenges unlock new clothing, equipment, tricks, and music. These challenges include media challenges that require the player to perform a specific type of stunt, timed races, sled and snowmobile challenges, races that require the player to collect a certain number of items in a set time, and challenges that require the player to defeat a professional snowboarder. Gaining respect points allows the player to unlock new areas of the mountain and progress through the main story.

The game features a single-player story mode as well as 2-player mini-games. No online content or game play other than the leaderboard is available.
