Who would have thought in 2009 that such a wonderful game about a superhero could appear in the world. Today, every Batman: Arkham is a holiday for lovers of high-quality action games. And 4 years ago we were fed only by projects about Spider-Man of various kinds (there was no trace of genius in them). Thanks to Rocksteady for coming out of nowhere and giving us two such quality games!

I remember with what pleasure I explored all the nooks and crannies of Arkham Asylum. I was surprised how the game changes as you progress: the bandits try to resist Batman by mining his beloved gargoyles and putting heart rate sensors on themselves. It was an amazing experience and one that I continue to spend time playing games for. But this is not the main thing here. The Joker is in charge here! It seems … Read full

Not too long ago, superhero games weren't exactly big hits in the gaming industry. Either they were terrible to the point of indecency, or they simply did not evoke any emotions. But in 2009, everything changed with the release of a game based on Batman comics - Batman: Arkham Asylum.

At that time, the game simply amazed everyone with its original and creative approach to the gameplay.

A lot of attention was paid to all aspects of the game. The design and style of the graphic component left only positive emotions. The noir nature and certain severity of what was happening fascinated me more and more and forced me to stay longer in this world in need of help. The storyline here is interesting from the very beginning at the beginning to the final video with credits at the end.

The combat syst… Read full

Kudos to the developers, because they managed to show how to make games based on comic books! They managed to convey that oppressive atmosphere of the Dark Knight universe, convey the character of each character, and create an excellent combination of plot and gameplay. Everything revolves around the riot that the Joker organized (where would we be without him), and Batman has to deal with all the surprises that the clown throws at him, and at the same time stay alive in a place where he is surrounded by enemies! The mental hospital itself is open for exploration, which makes the game even more interesting. You can find various references, Easter eggs, dossiers, recordings of conversations with patients, and also solve Ridler's riddles. The graphics are very decent for its time.

I didn’t perceive Batman as a superhero at all, because he is not a mutant, he has no superpowers, and in general the gothic mood was repulsive. I didn't even watch the films. When the game came out, a friend of mine, an ardent bats fan, recommended it to me. I motivated it by the fact that it has a cool combat system, and in general, it’s great fun. As it turns out, he was right. I even began to delve into the plot, plus the atmosphere of the psychiatric hospital, and I always liked this, be it in films or games. I liked everything: the graphics, the gameplay, especially the combat system, the plot, and the Joker was simply gorgeous. In a little more than a day I mastered the game, and somehow I even felt a little sad. After this game I started watching Nolan's films, thanks to Rocksteady. Geniuses!

The first full-fledged Batman, he is, for me, the most successful of all that came out later.

I liked this part so much that at one time I completed it twice on a pirated version (because I couldn’t pass it in one place due to the fact that it was pirated), and later I bought a license and was completely satisfied.

For these several attempts at passing, I owe it to the interesting, at that time, gameplay and captivating plot. It was really fun to beat up your enemies back then. The final battle generally deserves special applause.
