BioShock Infinite

Ken Levine is an amazing person. Once upon a time he revolutionized the perception of games with the help of SystemShock, many years later he surprised us with the noir fantasy shooter Bioshock, and here we go again. Amazing story, magnificent visual design and, of course, unrealistically charismatic characters. The experiences of growing up Elizabeth are only breathtaking, what can we say about the game as a whole... But in every barrel of honey there is a fly in the ointment. The gameplay is a little boring, even slightly reminiscent of mothballs. The need to search everything possible, and even more. And still, these disadvantages do not spoil the overall impression. My recommendation is to go through it, be sure to go through it, at least for the sake of the ending, which will 100% cause a “wow” effect in absolutely anyone.

In my opinion, the most valuable thing here is the visual style and lyrical plot, which can interest you in quantum physics. Moreover, the presentation of the plot through audio diaries and the shock ending force the player to think and build theories. It’s good that shooters now have such a feature as intellectualization, an invitation to co-creation, which has long been known in literature.

The direction and staging, the unity with the character are top notch. I really liked the first two parts of this game, and therefore, when I found out that the third part would take place not in Rapture, but in some kind of flying city, I was disappointed and did not expect anything very cool from the game. Everything changed after the first gameplay video, after which I began to look forward to the game. And here a minus immediately appears - the final version of the game was strikingly different from what was shown initially. BioShock Infinite is a great shooter with its own atmosphere! Let's take a dip in the pros and cons

PROS:

Picture, graphics, atmosphere - here, as in previous parts, the developers approached the game creatively! Everything is done at the highest level - beautiful landscapes, bright contrasting colors of the flying city of Columbia draw you into the game! I was very pleased that we are starting the game in a living city, where, just like on the streets of any city, life is in full swing! Interesting opponents - some of which are not so easy to defeat (I was looking forward to the appearance of the mechanical patriot). The main advantage is a colorful, memorable picture!

At first, the game was addictive with both the gameplay and the plot, but after a couple of hours the gameplay starts to get boring, at the end of the game I just ran around in the hope that I wouldn’t have to kill someone again, look for cartridges, machine guns, but all this saves the plot, which is so addictive, that you often don’t even notice some shortcomings.

The game is very confusing and that's what attracts

I became acquainted with this creation of the gaming industry quite recently. The plot is wonderful and very confusing, there are several plot twists during the passage, I was very disappointed that there is no Russian voice acting in the add-ons. In general, I really liked the game, not counting the complexity of the plot. 9.5/10

There were expectations of similarities with Dizonored, but in fact it is a completely different game. In it you are constantly fighting (yes, you can’t hide). The plot is very interesting, frankly speaking, the ending surprised me. The mechanics of the game are not complicated, if you are new to games, then feel free to buy it!

As a plot, the game is AWESOME, but as a game, it's garbage. There are few firefights and even on high difficulty you easily take out small groups of cops and rebels. The mutants from the first two parts of BioShock posed much more of a threat than the humans from this part. The design is colorful, but too much. There is too little logic in the game. It seems like there are a lot of opportunities for cutting down enemies, but you rarely use them, and in fact, all enemies can be killed with a regular pistol, well, except for the final boss on the dagger, you will have to work a little with him.

Masterpiece. No matter how many times I’ve passed through it, no matter how much I’ve suffered through it, I always come back. The game is perfect in almost everything (my opinion): a brilliant plot, wonderful characters to whom you manage to become attached, Elizabeth who can take care of herself. I remember one review in which a person complained that there was not enough ammo on high difficulty. What will I say? The 1999 difficulty is perfect. Of course, this is just making the opponents more difficult, but it’s still interesting to play. Before, when I didn’t play Infinite, I thought that it was an ordinary passing game that was just trying to get some of the glory that the first bioshock had. An unforgettable gaming experience! Bioshock Infinite is a game that connoisseurs of good games should try to play at least once! This is one of those cases where the game has developed so long and powerfully that the art book alone will make you wonder how different the game was during development. But, despite these same changes, this is an absolute victory. The game made such an impression on me that I even wanted to buy the collector's edition. I didn't find it, but at least I found a great art book. If you are an art lover or just a creative person, I am sure that this game will be interesting for you.

Bioshock... How many wonderful memories arise when you mention this game! Infinite is a great continuation of the first parts. Everything about Infinite is great, from graphics to gameplay. Well-developed lore of the game, excellent dialogues... And the most important plus of this game is, of course, Elizabeth! Lord, how beautiful she is! I advise everyone to go! One problem, there is no off-Russification, for those who know English well, this is not a problem, of course. But it’s not the off-site Russification from CGinfo that saves you. I recommend it to everyone)
