Chronos: Before the Ashes

Chronos: Before the Ashes is an action-adventure RPG with a third-person view in a fantasy setting. You have to go through a complex labyrinth full of dangers in order to save the hero’s world from the Big Evil getting into it. The architects of the labyrinth designed it so that a character could only enter it once a year, meaning that when the hero fails, he is "banished" rather than killed, and begins to go through the labyrinth again after a game year.

Thus, it turns out that if you start the game as a young and inexperienced character, you will die several times as you adapt, and your character will age, becoming less agile and physically strong, but wiser.
