In February 2025, it became known that Crytek was experiencing problems. Mass layoffs of employees began, and the fate of the fourth Crysis was in question. At the same time, support for Hunt: Showdown and the development of the CryEngine engine will continue. We decided to figure out why this happened and what to expect in the future. At the same time, we suggest recalling the history of the studio.

The current generation is often called the era of remakes and remasters for a reason — over the past five years, so many re-releases have come out that people have long since lost count. To be fair, some games do age significantly and require an update — an inevitable process given the advancement of technology. However, surprisingly, there are exceptions — older games that still look quite impressive even in their original form.
