I was waiting for this game and I really wanted to love it. I had no expectations other than the desire to get an RPG in a cyberpunk setting. And although I didn’t have any special expectations, I followed the news and laudatory “reviews”, which turned out to be not entirely true. So what didn't add up here?
Is there an RPG component here?
In general, yes. Not in full, but it is there - you will be given branches of characteristics and the opportunity to play as you please.
Is it possible to play your own character here?
Not possible. V is registered/registered and you can’t do anything about it. However, I will say that during the game you very quickly become attached to V - he is a pleasant, sincere character whom you want to associate with yourself.
Is there variability here?
Not really. At the beginning of the game, you can encounter the only, most varied quest. The rest of the game is mostly linear.
What about the novels?
There are few of them. If you're not bi, you only have one option. It’s like this with everyone – there’s one love interest for each orientation.
What's around the world?
Night City is terribly empty. There are side quests, yes, but there are a lot of them, but most of them are a give-and-fetch concept or clear out a bandit camp. There are also interesting quests, but they are few. There are no random events in the game, at least not like those present in RDR2.
In general, the city, although beautiful... no, very beautiful, is empty.
