Dance Dance Revolution Extreme — the game features "Beginner" and "Non-Stop" modes, a mode similar to the previous "Challenge Mode" but with an updated life bar, ranking at the end of each course, and a random banner. Perhaps the most noticeable changes to DDR Extreme are the additional stage and the updated green color scheme. Players can choose their own song to try to complete an additional stage, including "The Legend of Max". If they do well in the Extra Level, they can move on to Another Extra Level.
