The graphics, effects and optimization have been corrected in Remastered, so now it’s not so painful to the eyes compared to the Prepare to die edition. This is my first game in the soulslice genre, and oh my god dark souls killed me. This is exactly what I have long wanted to try, I have played many games of various genres, and there are not many games among them that hooked me. Dark Souls is one of them. If you are thinking of buying the DS remaster, then I want to tell you - I don’t want to say anything. Because it’s up to you to decide whether to take it or not (but the game hooked me).

I downloaded it to see if this game was so difficult (I thought it was the strongest). After an hour I felt really burnt out, after two hours I started to feel depressed, and by the third hour I realized the thrill of the complexity of this game. Overall I liked it.

No, the game is really great, but the main fan base is players who prefer a dark setting, not at all casual gameplay and difficult battles.

If you look at the original today, the only drawback of the game is the outdated graphics - angular models, magical effects, burning sprites, etc. It was this aspect that was corrected first, leaving in place everything that made the fans love the game so much.

I’m already silent about bosses with whom you have to die hundreds of times in order to understand the tactics of fighting them. But that's not all... You are armed, equipped, like a tank, heading towards your goal, when suddenly a dark spirit invades you and deals with you in a matter of seconds and all you have time to say is “Who are you, warrior?”)) ))))). For the millionth time you see the phrase “You are dead” on the screen.

I was able to complete the game only on the 3rd try. And okay, it would be because I simply couldn’t master it, but because every time, after leaving the game, it continued under textures from which you couldn’t get out. In general, it looks like a remaster, but there are more bugs than in the original...

The game is ok, but the hitboxes are not made so well, some dog from the basement may not let you pass and you can’t hit if you don’t have a lunge, and then TV... the dog is fast and knocks it down, and other attacks just hit the wall like peas. For example, the demon Taurus cannot go to the legs and even when there is a place on his left/right to run through, but no, you’re stuck. The controls are also a bit clunky, there is often a lot of CD through the keyboard, especially rolls and shields, rb rt is sometimes not pressed on the gamepad. The game itself is difficult, but it’s stupid to lower the rating for this. + - on the capra demon, the game stupidly starts to get boring, from the lore they only gave the initial video and dudechicha after the calf demon, that’s all. The game at this level is some kind of stupid slasher.

Like an ordinary gamer, all I heard about this game was “*an oppressive boss who makes you break your keyboard and bombs you so hard that it takes you to Mars”

At first, everything was like that. Complete ignorance of the basics of the game, tactics and unusual balance for the first couple of days led to hysterics and a desire to abandon everything at the first stage. But. But then it became interesting, because this game challenged me, could I go further or not?

It did not require stupid following of the beacon, but thoughtful passage, thinking through tactics and carefully reading into the lore.
