Hold the Door.
This mod will keep the doors of your locomotive open after you exit it. Valid until you enter a new locomotive. Typically, once the player leaves the locomotive, its interacting functions are unloaded for performance reasons. This includes handles, gauges, levers, windows and cab doors. With this mod, the interior of the locomotive does not unload until you enter another locomotive. This means you can leave your locomotive, inspect the train, and return to the same locomotive to find your doors and windows in the same position you left them in.
