As a huge DMC fan, I count the 2012 DMC reboot as one of my favorite games? I can say that this project also suited me.
In terms of gameplay, we have as many as 4 characters (I played the version where you can play as Virgil). I'll go through each one. Nero seems like fun, it’s cool to combine with his prosthetics, but to be honest, most of them are useless and don’t provide any kind of fun. I would like to highlight separately the detachment prosthetics and where Nero can fly on a rocket. I hardly used the rest. V comes in the first 2 times, because this is something new, play a la long druid from Dota 2. An unusual hero, when you don’t fight yourself, but your puppets fight, but alas, he quickly gets bored. Because it's too easy and boring. But Dante and Virgil, already pumped up with their pool of weapons and combos, are going very seriously. Nowadays, dms is more of a mess with mannequins for the sake of style and beautiful combinations. And here our 2 brothers tear their ass off very beautifully and stylishly. I liked Virgil a little more, as he is more nimble. I saw comments like: “I just learned to play on one, they immediately give me a new hero and I have to learn again,” pfft, I don’t know what to learn there. It seems to me that only crooked homeless people write like that. No problem with that. And this is an ordinary, short slasher film where the main entertainment is a fight, without any innovations. Well, personally, that’s all I need from this series of games. Therefore, my mug remained satisfied.
I would also like to highlight the musical accompaniment. Personally, I give it 10 points, I really liked the tracks (Nero's is the coolest). The plot is certainly weak. Yes, to be honest, what illogical crap. The cut scenes are beautiful, of course, but poof, you can only admire the picture. Of course, I'm a little disappointed here. Because in 2012 the plot was worthy, interesting, with deep social meanings, but here it’s as if a seventh grader quickly wrote a mini-essay in a literature lesson. I also want to note the fact that after completing the game I want to go through it again. And at this time, not every AAA project can boast of this.
As a result, the 2012 game remains my favorite in this series so far, but this part is also worthy. A must play for fans and fans of slasher films. And for non-lovers, at least just take a look, it might come in.
P.s. I don’t rate localization and multiplayer
