I played this game when I was very little and it seemed to me very complex, beautiful and, in general, almost a deity incarnate.
I completed it for the second time 3 years ago and I also found it incredibly difficult and still beautiful, even though it came out many, many years ago.
This game is dear to me personally as a memory and I consider it one of the best games I have played.
Я играл в эту игру еще когда был совсем маленьким и она казалась мне очень сложной, красивой и вообще чуть ли не божеством воплоти.
Второй раз я прошел её года 3 назад и она так же оказалась мне невероятно сложной и все еще красивой, хоть и вышла много-много лет назад.
Эта игра дорога лично мне как память и я считаю её одной из лучших игр, в которые я играл.
One of the most hardcore shooters of our time, well, not quite of our time.
The game feels like a really serious shooter, and not a casual sandbox like Far Cry 3 and above. There are even monsters, which is not typical for the FC series.
Of course, some people might be scared off by the graffiti, but it’s okay for me.
Один из самых хардкорных шутеров современности, ну уже не совсем современности.
Игра чувствуется реально серьезным шутером, а не казуальной песочницей как Far Cry 3 и выше. Тут даже монстры есть, что нетипично для серии FC.
Конечно кого-то может отпугнуть графон, но мне норм.
FAR CRY was released at a time when the shooter DOOM 3 had just appeared on the shelves and the picture quality was not inferior to modern shooters! It didn't work on every computer! FAR CRY выходила в тот момент когда только только на прилавках появился шутер DOOM 3 и по качеству картинки не уступал современным шутерам! Шла далеко не на каждом компе! Шейдеры, освещение, райские уголки — все выглядело на столько красиво, что хотелось собрать чемоданы и рвануть туда. В игре интересный сюжет — хватит не на один вечер при упорном характере!
ПЛЮСЫ:
- Картинка очень интересная, тогда этот райский уголок из островов, подводных красот, песочных пляжей выглядел очень красиво, сейчас мало кого удивишь этой игрой.
- Хочешь устраивай хаос на базе, хочешь ликвидируй в тихоря — наверное это единственное что игра сохраняла в будущих частях от этой игры
- есть мультиплеер, но я в него не играл
- сейчас игра полетит на любом компе, ноутбуке, нетбуке.
МИНУСЫ:
Far Cry is the game from which the first Crysis grew. So the game that killed many machines in 2004, and the game that is good only until the mutants come out. In terms of gameplay, this is an old-school joker with good difficulty and a more or less normal plot. The first half of the game is really interesting to play through: the shooting is pleasant, the landscapes are beautiful, and it’s interesting to fight against enemies. But as soon as the mutants come out, all interest disappears and you just want to run through the rest as quickly as possible. And the battle with the final boss is just laughable. It was more difficult for me to play in the middle of the game than in the final. Nevertheless, Far Cry still holds up well and you can run through it once.
Far Cry — это та игра, из которой вырос первый Crysis. Так игра, которая многие машины ложила на лопатки в 2004, и та игра, которая хороша только до того момента, пока не вылезают мутанты. В плане геймплея — это такой олдскульный шутан с хорошей сложностью и более менее нормальным сюжетом. Первую половину игры реально интересно проходить: тут и стрельба приятная, и пейзажи красивые, да и против врагов воевать интересно. Но, как только выходят мутанты, то весь интерес пропадает и хочется просто пробежать остатки побыстрее. А битва с финальным боссом просто смех. Мне в середине игры сложнее игралось, чем в финале. Тем не менее — far cry до сих пор отлично держится и разок пробежать его можно.
Cool shooter. I got this game when we bought our first computer, but I was only born so I could play it. It wasn't until I was 4 years old that I started playing games. At that time I had: Total war, Crysis Warhead, Far cry 10 in 1. I didn’t have the original game then, but only an add-on. But when I started downloading from torrent, then I downloaded Far cry 1. I really liked it. It had a good storyline and good gameplay. It's a pity this was the last Far Cry from Crytek. Ubusoft were only able to make a third part good, the rest were so-so. It would be interesting to know what kind of second part Farcry from Crytek would make.
Классный шутер. Это игра у меня появилась когда мы купили первый комп, но я только родился по этому сыграть в неё нем мог. Лишь когда мне исполнилось 4 годика то я начал играть в игры. У меня тогда был: Total war, Crysis Warhead, Far cry 10 in 1. У меня тогда ещё не было оригинальной игры, а были всего лишь дополнение. Но когда я начал качать с торрента, тогда я скачал Far cry 1. Мне он очень понравился. Там был неплохой сюжет, хороший геймплей. Жаль это был последний Far cry от Crytek. Ubusoft смогли лишь третью часть хороший сделать, остальные так себе. Было бы интересно узнать, какую бы вторую часть сделали Farcry от Crytek.
Pros
Gameplay - Nice shooter game of that time with very good physics
Plot - Trite, well, I liked it anyway
Graphics - although the game is old, the picture is nice especially the water
Cons
Driving by car - the transport controls in the game are terrible and not very convenient
Monsters - in the second half of the game monsters appear and they simply kill the atmosphere of the game
Difficulty - in the game even on easy difficulty you can’t be killed)))

Геймплей — Приятная стрелялка того времени очень с хорошей физикой
Сюжет — Банальный ну мне понравился все равно
Графика — игра хоть и старая ну картинка приятная особенно вода
Минусы
Езда на машине — управление транспортом в игре ужасная и не очень удобная
Монстры — во второй половине игры появляются монстры и они просто убивают атмосферу игры
Сложность — в игре дажеп легкой сложности вас убить как не фиг делать)))
I've played through it a couple of times, and I can say that even some modern
shooters are no match for it. The graphics are simply
gorgeous for their time. Overall a great game.
Проходил пару раз, и могу сказать что даже некоторые современные
шутеры рядом с ней не стоят. Графика для своего времени просто
шикарна. В общем отличная игра.
