I think that the gameplay of Halfa 2 is not at all outdated - run around solving problems, shoot and get distracted by the plot - holy simplicity. How do I improve the graph, add dynamics to both the game and weapons specifically, a variety of enemies and that’s it! The game will fly off with a bang, it’s the same halfa only better) And VR is some kind of incomprehensible bullshit.
Valve, it seems, decided to follow the path of SEGA, only they fought in the console market - they also aimed high, almost preparing a revolution in the segment of game consoles, and in the end Dreamcast lost the competition to PlayStation. Now SEGA has lost its position almost everywhere and acts only as a publisher. Maybe it’s not so bad for them, but if you remember what mastodons they competed with in the 90s, it becomes a shame for the company. I really wish Gabe would learn a lesson from this.
