Heroine Anthem Zero 2: Scalescars Oath is a fast-paced action-platformer with role-playing elements and a side view in a fantasy setting, the plot of which is based on Siberian culture, folklore about mermaids and Taiwanese tribal legends. The game revolves around Shama, the young descendant of Gon Arru, who survived ichthyopagia, a divine punishment that destroyed most of the world. Living under the Tree of Life and becoming a priestess, and then leaving the Tree of Life on the eve of the Star Ark Festival, she traveled to the far west to Uzato, the city of the Guardians of the Forest. She goes in search of the benefactor her mother told her about, hoping to find herself a normal and simple home, but the only clue her mother left behind is a pin.
