HROT is a dynamic old-school shooter with a first-person view, made in the style of games of the last century. The events in the game take place in Czechoslovakia in 1986 and begin in the Prague metro after a certain disaster in the USSR, and the goal is to protect the socialist homeland from enemies. There are several types of weapons in the game — a shotgun, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, as well as some energy “barrels”. And if you run out of ammunition, you can fight hand-to-hand using a hammer and sickle. Also, the game engine imitates software solutions of the 90s with large polygons and fuzzy textures. The levels are created manually based on real-life places.
