Kholat is an adventure horror game with a first-person view, based on the events of the Dyatlov Pass. In 1959, a group of 9 students went on a hike in the Ural Mountains and died under unclear circumstances. There are plenty of versions of their death, from an avalanche to the impact of some secret weapon. But to this day they cannot accurately name the exact cause of their death, since in addition to frostbite, they were found to have wounds that could only have been received as a result of a very strong blow, equal in force to a collision with a car at high speed. In the game, you have to figure out what happened yourself and find out how everything really happened.

I never doubted that navigating the terrain was not my thing. But in this game I spent almost 6 hours running near the same train at the very beginning of the game. No goal, no what I am at all and what they want from me, just an incredibly beautiful location in which I was lost and could only walk in circles.
I note that the game looks quite gorgeous on epic settings. I loved this snowy location, these village houses and the damn train station. It's a pity that I didn't see the game in the end.
The music at the beginning is simply epically cool, even cooler than the graphics settings of the same name. One could feel the tension, rather from the incomprehensibility of what was happening, but the sound complemented this and revealed it to the fullest. Moreover, if you watch Western or Asian h… Read full
Read full
