King's Quest: Mask of Eternity — The game begins with a scene at Daventry Castle, where King Graham and his minister discuss the daily affairs of the kingdom. At this moment, a magic mirror activates in front of them and shows them a bad omen: they witness how Lucreto, the supreme arcon from the Land of the Sun, destroys the Mask of Eternity and thus releases a wave of energy. The mirror also reveals peasant knight Connor Lee Marr from a nearby village, who is the kingdom's only hope. Connor is talking to his neighbor Sarah when a storm begins and a piece of the mask falls at his feet. The peasant picks it up and it turns out that all the mortals in the kingdom, including King Graham, have turned to stone. At this point the vision in the mirror disappears.

One of those games that took the first step on the long and thorny path of development of RPGs as a genre. Initially, being a quest in Mask, the game took a serious turn, turning into a collaboration of genres.
The wonderful atmosphere of fairy tales and mystery does not leave you from the beginning of the adventure until its very end. As befits a high-quality fairy tale, the main character, accidentally drawn into events that he does not understand, turns from a pawn into the arbiter of destinies.
We will have to go through heaven and hell, fire and water..., including literally. The undead, monsters and magical creatures will stand in the way, but as should be the case in a fairy tale, the hero always prevails.

Одна из тех игр, которая сделала первый шаг на длинном и тернистом пути развития РПГ как жанра. Изначально, будучи именно квестом, в Маске, игра сделала серьезный поворот, превратившись в коллаборацию жанров.
Замечательная атмосфера сказки и таинственности не покидает от начала приключения, до самого его конца. Как и полагается качественной сказке, главный герой, нечаянно втянутый в события, которых не понимает, из пешки превращается в вершителя судеб.
Нам придется пройти рай и ад, огонь и воду..., в том числе, буквально. Немертвые, монстры и магические существа встанут на пути, но, как и должно быть в сказке, герой всегда берет верх.
Что бы в конце получить свои "пол царства".
