The game takes place in the magical world of Faeo, devastated by a long war between humans and the Magmar race. The continuation of the conflict led to the destruction of the fabric of reality and the invasion of Chaos demons.

To save Faeo, the goddess Sheara (the mistress of dragons and the successor of the ancient god of justice A'Aron) created two dragons that embodied the energy of warring races — white, Erifarius, and red, Striagorn. On every new moon, when the forces of Chaos are strongest, dragons lead armies of hundreds of the best warriors of humans and magmars and converge in battle. The victorious dragon takes the energy of the defeated one and the forces of the two separated races unite to repel the onslaught of Chaos.
