Maelstrom: The Battle For Earth Begins is an isometric real-time strategy game in a sci-fi setting. In just fifty years, the Earth, striving for an alluring future, found itself one step away from destruction, engulfed in environmental disasters, global war and the collapse of human civilization. In this ravaged world, the planet's dwindling resources have split what remains of humanity in two: the city's freedom fighters, the Remnants, and the technologically advanced Ascension Corporation. Now they must confront a new threat, the brutal alien invasion of the Hi-Genti, while continuing a desperate internecine war for supremacy and survival.
